I have found a way around the lockup problem with the slot machine. I have tried this on 2 computers and it has worked. First make sure that you backup your game saves. They are in your my documents folder (Art of Murder - The Hunt for the Puppeteer). After you have done this completely un install the game and delete the Art of Murder - The Hunt for the Puppeteer folder left in your my documents folder. Reinstall the game and start the game and make as many saves as you had before in the first game scene. Exit the game and copy your old backed up saves over the ones you just made.

This must be a strange bug! Donald, just curious, how did you ever discover the solution in the first place? Do you know why your method solved the problem? Winnie, it sounds like your problem is completely different from what this fix is for -- which is a bug that occurs at a specific location in a game that otherwise is working. You should probably start a new thread about your problem. Also, since you never get past the intro, it's possible your video card or some other part of your computer does not meet the game's system requirements. So please post your computer's specs so we can check.
